This was BEYOND cool! Moving to Arizona was definitely an opportunity to get some things checked off my bucket list.
We went camping with friends at Childs Power Plant up by the Verde Hot Springs and Fossil Creek. There were all kinds of incredible things in this small area. This one was very interesting, but I certainly didn't get it. I couldn't see the bottom and these tall guys (6'9"!!!!) couldn't touch the bottom!
We had to walk across the Verde River which was 100% not Verde. It was more a cloudy brown. Once again, the thoughts rushing in of - What is going to grab me, eat me, spit my bones out, drag me down the river. I survived. My thoughts of becoming dinner or getting pulled down the river by the current never happened.
The hot springs were a little hike down the Verde river and across it from where we were camping.
Hiking towards the hot springs! Don & Brent, Me and Beth!
Walking down to the Verde Hot springs.
The Wall next to the Verde Hot Springs
Behind this cheeky bastard is the Verde River. - Not very Verde now is it?
It was incredible how warm the water was. like bath water!
Enjoy some of the GREAT Graffiti (that is not very child friendly) that was left at the hot springs. I'm sure if you go visit now, there will be different art.
These guys couldn't touch the bottom!!!!
Don is 6'2 and I believe Brent is 6'9.
